Irwin Football wins another week and gains one more game on Irwin Associates. A major restructuring of the intelligence gathering of Irwin Associates is being considered. Sources high in the management have said that there are to many games predicted without the proper research. The last few weeks have shown a steady decline even though scouting trips had been made this year to Tallahassee, Austin, Ft. Worth and Boulder. The amount of money spent on these scouting trips has not translated into victories of late and there is concern that the organization may fold.
Harris Futuristic Forecasts which also slipped 4 more games, could not be reached for comment, but it is believed that a scouting and research trip is expected in the near future to Delaware and Maryland. Sources close to the syndicate have reported that this is a last ditch effort to salvage a tough year.

OHIO STATE LOSES Ohio State once again loses a big lead and the game at Happy Valley. Leading 27-9, the Buckeyes saw Penn St. whittle the lead away until they took a 29-27 lead with 14:55 to play. Ohio State had a chance late when a field goal attempt was blocked at the 17. The win was Joe Paterno's record 324th win, passing Bear Bryant on the all time winning list. |
